Fashion Trends: 6 outfit ideas to stay comfy and pretty at home
Updated: Oct 22, 2021
There is no doubt that fashion trends for this Spring have been strongly influenced by coronavirus pandemic. People are staying home, wearing the most comfortable possible outfits. Even the most famous celebrities and influencers have changed their glamorous, red-carpet looks for more simple and relaxed outfits. For this reason, I came up with the idea of creating a blog post that summarizes the best outfits to stay at home, inspired, of course, by our favorite fashion gurus.
1 // Athleisure sets
In case you are not already familiar with this term, athleisure is the result of the combination of the words athletics and leisure and refers to all those garments designed to be worn for sports activities and general use. Athleisure combines the comfort of sportswear with the latest fashion trends, which makes them ideal to wear not only during exercise, but also to be at home, go to school, or go out with friends. The athleisure trend is not new, but it is definitely taking more strength than ever, as we have recently seen across Instagram. Get the look here.
2 // Tie-Dye loungewear
Tie-Dye trend is having a major comeback right now. This fun and colorful print from the ’60s has become one of the favorite quarantine fashion trends of influencers and celebrities. Why this trend came back? The reason is simple, social distancing has inspired many people to start their own craft projects, including tie-dying, which has once again reactivated this trend that seemed to disappear after its return last summer.
Although you can find this trend in different clothing items, Tie-Dye sets, in particular, are having a special moment and have quickly become the official uniform of this quarantine. Are you ready to try this fun fashion trend? Don't worry, you don't have to do it yourself if you don’t want to, you can also find several affordable options on Amazon. Get the look here: Tie-Dye set, Tie-Dye sweatshirt.
3 // Wide-legged pants and basic tees
Another look we have seen all over the gram these days is wide-legged pants with basic tees. This quarantine fashion trend is a must for those who want to look presentable for work/study at home and still feel comfortable. You can style this basic outfit with a cute cardigan and your eyeglasses and you will look like you try. What do you think of this “more professional” option? Get the look: wide-legged pants, cardigan.
4 // Activewear sets
This lockdown is a good opportunity to wear your favorite activewear sets and stay with them all day long if you want. The main difference between activewear and athleisure is that the former is designed exclusively for use during sports, however, nothing happens if we stay at home with these clothes, right? Sportswear is very comfortable and gives you the necessary mobility to do all your activities during the day. You can wear your favorite leggings or shorts with a sport bra and style them with a cropped sweatshirt or a basic tee knotted at the front. Get the look here.
5 // Basic crop tops and joggers
Comfort is key when it comes to being at home. If you don’t have loungewear sets, you can instead wear a basic crop top with joggers and you will be cute and comfy at home. As you may have noticed, this has been another favorite look of many influencers and celebrities. If you want to level up your outfit, you can add hoops and a denim jacket and you are ready to go (…to the living room). Get the look: crop top, joggers.
6 // Cute sleepwear sets
Some of our favorite influencers have been taking advantage of this stay-at-home situation to wear their beautiful satin sleepwear sets during the day. That’s right, being at home 24/7 has given us the perfect excuse to stay in our pajamas all day long, if so, we should be wearing our prettiest nightwear, don’t you think?. You have endless options to choose from, there are printed and plain ones, with shorts or pants, and if you feel more daring, you can try the trend of feathered pajamas. Get the look here.
